if you use electrochemical oxygen sensors,
changes the rules
Oxygen sensors must be changed frequently... Not any more.
Paramagnetic sensors are expensive... Not necessarily.
Oxygen sensors need frequent calibration... No longer true.
Paramagnetic sensors need complicated sampling systems... No Longer.

Electrochemical cells deplete meaning they have to be regularly replaced.
does not use depleting technology so it doesn't need to be exchanged.

doesn't need to changed or serviced, therefore the lifetime cost compares favourably with electrochemical cells

Electrochemical cells will usually be calibrated daily, but because it uses paramagnetic technology,
will typically only need calibrating once a week

uses a diffusion principle, so it requires the same gas sampling system as an electrochemical cell.
